From humble beginnings in 1990, the founder, Charl Marais, rapidly grew ECEM into being the leading manufacturer of ready mix batching plants and one of the leaders of mixer truck manufacturers in South Africa. Jacques Marais and Shane Wheeler now own the business, which employs around 57 staff members, including general workers, fabricators, electricians, welders, boiler makers and office
We manufacture fully computerized batching plants, Mobile Plants built to specification to suit the client’s requirements, and manufacture and refurbish Drum Mixers for all suitable vehicle types. We also supply all the peripheral requirements needed to operate a fully functional batching plant, including silos, screw conveyors, weigh hoppers, aggregate hoppers, electrical panels, and general fabrication
Besides supplying goods to South Africa, ECEM also provides cross-border services to the whole of Africa (23 countries at the moment) and as far as Australia.
In addition to the plants manufactured, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including:, calibration of plants, after-sales maintenance and a wide range of spares and accessories for said plants and screw conveyors.
